Joseph Carchidi

Joseph Carchidi, age 66, of Erial, NJ, passed away on Friday May 6, 2022. Beloved husband of Lolamae Carchidi (nee Lewis). Loving father of Michelle (Michael) McCredy, Danielle (Steven) Bongiorno, the late Joseph Carchidi Jr., Kati (Brian) Harper, and Nicholas (Bobbie) Carchidi. Proud grandfather of Michael Jr., Alexandrea, Dominic, Dante, Daniel, Julia, Madison, Levi, Trent, Aidin, Lillith, and Vincent. Dear brother of Valerie Corry, Linda Congemi, Diane Knight, Terese Carchidi, Anthony Carchidi, John Carchidi, Christine Runquist, and Andrea Scott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joseph was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a longtime resident of Erial, NJ. He worked as a letter carrier for the United Staes Postal Service for many years. Joseph was an avid fly fisherman, outdoorsman, and jack of all trades. He enjoyed music and played the harmonica. He was also enjoyed gardening. A visitation will be held on Thursday May 12, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Open Bible Baptist Church, 1073 New Brooklyn Rd., Williamstown, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any local SPCA or animal shelter in Joseph’s memory.
