Jorge L. Rodriguez, Sr., affectionately known as Pork Chop and Rock, age 75 of Atco, NJ, passed away on February 25, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Tomas Rodriguez and Celestina Maisonet in Manhattan, NY. Jorge proudly served in the United States Marines Corps from 1965-1969, during the Vietnam War. He was a founding brother of Omega Psi Phi fraternity Inc., Chi Upsilon Graduate Chapter ‘71 and Mason member of the Mount Joy Lodge. Jorge worked as a Certified Public Accountant for New Jersey Child Protective Services. He will be remembered for his strong heart, mind, and will. Jorge was undeniably honest and straightforward. He would never shy away from a challenge and although he was tough, he showed emotion as much as he showed his toughness. Jorge will be deeply missed.
Jorge is predeceased by his son, Jorge L. Rodriguez, Jr.; brother, Enrique Ramos; and parents, Tomas Rodriguez and Celestina Paris.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Zoe Rodriguez (nee Mazzoni); children, Michelle Rodriguez, Javier A. Rodriguez (Jamie); and Zoe Rivera (Raul); grandchildren, Lizette Velazquez, Nika Rodriguez, Ariana Rodriguez, Brandon Rivera, Gabriel Rivera, Lucas Rivera, Xavier Rivera, siblings, Zoraida Martinez, Renee Paris, Abel Paris, David Paris, and Deborah Paris; sister in law, Millie Ramos; and many loving nieces and nephews. Jorge was also looking forward to becoming a great grandfather in August.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004 and on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt Carmel Parish/St. Joseph Church, located at 226 French St., Hammonton, NJ 08037. Inurnment to follow with Military Honors at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
