John W. Finkbeiner

John W. Finkbeiner, age 74, of Belleplain, NJ passed away on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary-Gayle, his daughter, Rebecca Joas (Michael), his siblings, Nancy Jones, Maryann Pregnor, Theresa Finkbeiner, Carol Mattson and Bill Finkbeiner, his grandchildren, William Joas (Leeann), Jacquelyn Foy (Curt), Jennifer Howlett (Ryan), Michael Joas, Jr. (Parker), and Ashley Loper (Blake), as well as 7 great-grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his parents, John, and Jean Finkbeiner.

John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Although he was a man of few words, his family and friends knew how much he adored and loved them. John attended Georgetown University, and taught chemistry at Drexal University, he also worked as a chemist for Mobile Refinery and Campbell Soup Company. Prior to his retirement John worked as a Casino Dealer in Atlantic City. In his free time, John enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, gardening; his favorite plant to grow being his tomatoes! You could always find John cheering on his favorite college team the Georgetown Hoyas.

Cremation will be held privately at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
