John M. Janowiak, of Atco, NJ passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024, at the age of 93. He is survived by his beloved wife Ethel (nee Wesley) of 70 years. Loving Father of Michael (Carol), John (Beth), Susan, Ginny (Rick) and Joann. Proud grandfather of Chrissy (Nick), Carlie (Emily), Johnny (Kaelen), Jessie (Noel), Tori, Ricky, Chris, Josh and Bobby and Great Grandfather to Bennett, Eliza, Camden, Wesley and Gregory.
Born in Runnemede, NJ, John spent his formative years in Philadelphia, PA. He was a veteran of the Korean War and met the love of his life, Ethel at Fort Dix. He resided in Audubon, NJ for over 40 years where he coached Little League Baseball and was very active in his community and his church. He worked his entire career at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and loved spending time with his children at the Jersey shore. John was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and finally got to see his beloved Eagles win the Super Bowl.
Visitation will be held at Saint Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd, Haddonfield, NJ on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. A graveside service with military honors to be held after Mass at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden, NJ.
