John J. Spencer

John J. Spencer, age 80 of Berlin, NJ passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA to the late John W. Spencer. John proudly served in the US Navy as a Radioman during Vietnam and later owned and operated Taunton Roofing Inc. in Marlton, NJ for many years.

John was a member of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club, The Berlin VFW Post, the American Legion and he was a Free and Accepted Mason. John owned and operated a 35 acre farm for a hobby in Marlton, NJ for many years.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Jane E. (nee Dearden), his children, Pamela Severs (Deakon) of Atco, NJ, Amanda Heintz (Joseph) of West Berlin, NJ, Johnna Pflugfelder (Edward) of Marlton, NJ and Melanie Garcia of Berlin, NJ. John is also survived by his grandchildren, Miranda M. Severs, Olivia Pflugfelder, Alejandro S. Garcia, Audra J. Heintz, Piper L. Heintz, Noah A. Garcia, Savannah R. Heintz, Angelane G. Pflugfelder and Scarlett L. Garcia. Also surviving are his sisters, Elizabeth Gerber (late Lyn), Catherine Mahoney (late Allan), JoAnn Orsini and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm. Interment with Military Honor will follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ at 2:30pm.
