John F. Dougherty

John F. Dougherty, age 70, of Hammonton, NJ passed away on October 11th, 2023. John was born on June 16th, 1953 to Raymond and Mary Dougherty. He was a 1971 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Hammonton, NJ.

John was a devoted parishioner at St. Mary Mt. Carmel Parish and a very long term and diligent employee at St. Joseph School, which was in the same block as his home on Pleasant St.

He is survived by his nephew, Raymond Dougherty and his wife Stella, his sister-in-law, Josephine Dougherty as well as many cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Mary and his two brothers, Robert and Raymond Jr. Robert died in Vietnam in 1967 at the age of 19 and his brother Raymond also served but returned home safely.

May the choir of angels guide him to St. Peter at the gate and may he rest in peace.

Cremation will be held privately at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 26th beginning at 10:00 am at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Joseph's Church, 226 French St., Hammonton, NJ.
