Joann Sbraccia

Joann Sbraccia (nee Durante), age 85, of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on Saturday September 26, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Ennio Sbraccia. Loving mother of Melinda Sbraccia, Bruno Sbraccia, and Corrado (Stacey) Sbraccia. Proud nonna of Niklas (Kara), Cameron (Shannon), Sage, Sonny, and Victoria; great-grandmother of Levi. Dear sister of Maria Finamore, Cologero Durante, Antonino Durante, the late Pepino Durante, late Carmela Migliore, and the late Emmanuela Iannoti. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Joann was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, and was a longtime resident of Hammonton, NJ. She came to the United States in 1956 to work at Kessler Clothing Factory and start a new life. In 1959, she and Ennio were married at St. Joseph’s Church in Hammonton. Joann was a woman of strong faith who set time aside daily to pray for her family and those that were ill. She was fiercely devoted to her family and she enjoyed cooking for them, making sure no one would go hungry. Her one favorite pastime was her weekly casino trips with her friends. Joann’s family will miss her deeply and her unconditional love will always be in their hearts. Cremation will be held privately. The family asks for NO FLOWERS to be sent.
