Jay R. Burhenne

Jay R. Burhenne, age 45 of Atco, NJ, passed away on July 15, 2023. He was lovingly welcomed as the first born to Jay R. and Kathleen (nee Nolan) Burhenne in Woodbury, NJ. Jay loved the outdoors, and was a talented bass player and natural artist. He could always make you laugh. Jay was an excellent electrician and self-taught engineer. When everyone else was stumped, that is when Jay was called to solve the problem with his extensive knowledge and skillset. Jay was an avid reader, and always kept a book handy. Although Stephen King was his favorite author, he was known to read up on complex mechanical and scientific theories at his leisure. Most of all, he was a loving father, son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Jay is predeceased by his parents, Jay R. and Kathleen Burhenne. He is survived by his children, Jay Burhenne, Jr., Jacob Burhenne, and Savannah Burhenne; siblings, Ryan Burhenne (Lisa), Gwendolyn Cozens (Charles), Matthew Burhenne (Melissa), Christopher Burhenne, and Chip Bruder (Jodi); and mother of his children, Amy Burhenne; nieces and nephews, Madelyne, Charlie, Blake, and Tobin; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A memorial service will begin at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and donations, Jay’s family requests you to recall a fond memory of Jay and say a prayer for him.
