James Van Johnson

James Van Johnson, age 56, of Atco, NJ passed away on Friday, January 21st, 2022. Beloved husband of Chrissy (nee Rival) Johnson. Dear brother of Brian (Shelley) Johnson, David (Missy) Johnson and Steven (Jill) Johnson. Adored uncle of Zachary, Taylor, Lily, and David Jr. Cherished best friend and “unofficial brother” of Chris Chak. Dear son-in-law of Joe and Judy Rival. Devoted dog dad of Bear, Scout, and Sandy. James was born in Fullerton, California to loving parents, Donald Johnson and Janice (nee Smith) Johnson. James was a man of few words, but when he did speak everyone listened intently to his humorous comments. James prided himself in his work ethic. He was a sports enthusiast, who deeply enjoyed the Miami Dolphins, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics. James will be missed deeply by family, friends and his dogs. A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 25th at 10:30am to 11:00am at Atco United Methodist Church, 2128 Atco Ave, Atco, NJ, 08004. A memorial service will be held following the visitation at 11:00am at Atco United Methodist Church. Masks are required to be worn entering Church, but once seated they can be removed, thank you in advance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in James’ memory to an animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
