James S. Wilson

James S. Wilson, Jr. age 81, of Franklinville, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday May 8, 2020 at the Bishop McCarthy Center, Vineland, NJ after a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of the late Joanne Wilson, James is survived by his children, James B. Wilson of Seffner, FL, John R. Wilson of Sicklerville, NJ, Lynne VanArtsdalen (Robert Jr) of Cedar Brook, NJ and Kenneth Wilson of Vineland, NJ and 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. James was born in Montclair, NJ and raised in Absecon, New Jersey. James proudly served our Country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1957 to 1961. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy he and his wife, Joanne moved to Lindenwold, NJ where he raised his family, was a dedicated volunteer member of the Lindenwold Fire Department and coached Lindenwold Little League for many years. James and his family later moved to Franklinville, NJ where he resided for the remainder of his life. James had a successful career as District Manager for MAI and Sorbus, Inc. until deciding to become a truck driver. He was an owner operator and then worked for VSA in Bridgeton until his retirement. He enjoyed travelling with his wife and was an avid long time sports fan. While the Phillies were his favorite, he loved his Flyers and Eagles too.
