James Joseph "Jimmy J." McGuirl, Jr. On May 29, 2020 of Cape May Court House, N.J. Age 85. Husband of the late Regina (nee Gibson) , who died in 1966. Beloved Father of James McGuirl III (Carole) of Lindenwold, Michael (Paula) of Gloucester Township, Regina McGuirl of Leighton, Pa. and the late Kenny McGuirl . Dear grandfather of Bobby Lewis, James McGuirl IV, Ryan McGuirl, Tyler McGuirl and Joseph Bayer. Also survived by his great granddaughter Riley Mae McGuirl. Jimmy loved to sing and dance. Jimmy was both mother and father to four children after his wife passed away in 1966. All of Jimmy's cousins would say when they were bored, let's go Jimmy's house. Why? Because he was a true entertainer. He could sing, dance, and make you laugh until your belly hurt. Jimmy would open his home to anyone who needed a place to rest their heads. Whether you were human or a homeless animal. Even lions and tigers and bears, all true. Jimmy loved the Mummers. Each year from home Jimmy would sit in front of the TV and judge the entire parade. He always predicted the winners. When the Mummers String Band would come to North Wildwood during the summer, they would always pull Jimmy out of the crowd to strut with the String Bands. Jimmy lived his Golden years in Cape May. He was affectionately known as the Mayor of Cape May. Everyone who ever met him could never forget him. You are that guy... If you were lucky enough to know Jimmy, you knew he always stirred his water 3 times counterclockwise. Jimmy, will we ever know where Steve Brody was when he jumped off the bridge? Jimmy will forever be missed and loved by his family and friends. Jimmy truly touched the heart of many. A life well lived. We love you Dad.
