Howard Hemphill

Howard Hemphill, age 93, of Voorhees, NJ, passed away on Friday May 22, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 72 years to Jessie Hemphill (nee Wnuk). Loving father of Drew Hemphill, Stephen Hemphill, Amy (Joseph) Tait, Holly (John) Farrell, and Susan Schwartz. Proud grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 10. Howard was a longtime resident of Voorhees, NJ. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Howard worked as the Superintendent of Public Works for the Borough of Haddonfield, retiring after 25 years. Howard’s family called him Mr. Fix-It. He had the ability and knowledge to tackle any project around his home. He was a soft-spoken man who had a good sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing and listening to big band music.
