Hortensia Vanderbilt, age 94, peacefully passed away in Marlton, NJ on July 24, 2021. Hortensia was born in Havana Cuba and came to the United States and started her new journey with her four children in Philadelphia, PA. She retired to Southampton, NJ after many years of faithfully cleaning homes for many happy customers well into her seventy’s. Hortensia’s love for life included God, America and her familia. She had a passion and great love for animals, plants, reading and coloring. She enjoyed dinners with her family and anytime outdoors in her garden. She always loved New Jersey, saying “Jersey is so beautiful.” “God Bless America," was her favorite saying and her freedom was always cherished. She is survived by her four children, Hortensia (Honey) Heister of Deptford, NJ, Albert Heredia and his wife Virginia Heredia of California, Monica Heredia and Mr. Edward Vincent of Tabernacle, NJ, Miriam Scotto and her husband Geraldo Scotto of Berlin, NJ. Hortensia had eight grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A Service will begin at 5:00pm at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. Interment private. Condolences may be shared with the family on Hortensia’s tribute wall on this page.
