Harry W. Brown, Jr.

Harry W. Brown, Jr., age 84 of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on March 8, 2024. He was born to the late Harry W. and Dorothy M. (nee Andrews) Brown in Camden, NJ. Harry proudly served in the Army National Guard and in the Army Reserves from 1962-1968.

Harry was a Senior Engineering Associate for various companies including Stone & Webster Engineering Corp., Royal Par Industries, Peripherals General, Triangle Drafting Company, Video Systems Corp, Technitrol Engineering Corp., Burroughs Corporation, Sonex, Inc., and RCA.

Harry enjoyed spending time with his family and especially attending the many activities of his grandchildren. Harry was always an active member in his community and was always willing to help with projects. Harry served as the Vice President of the Marlton Lakes Civic Association and as Vice President of the Orchards at Elm. He had an interest in classic cars, jewelry, the stock market, and the Eagles. He especially enjoyed taking his dog Ellie for long walks and socializing with his neighborhood friends.

Harry is predeceased by his wife, Bertha E. Brown (nee McKeown); brother, Carlton L. Brown; and parents, Harry W. and Dorothy M. Brown. He is survived by his children, Kimberley A. Hertzberg (Ed), Kevin L. Brown, and Kelly L. McAleer (Dan); grandchildren, Eric Hertzberg (Corinne), Kevin Brown, Amy Hertzberg (Ryan), Ryan Brown, Kelsey Brown, Emily McAleer, and Daniel McAleer; and great grandson, Wes Hertzberg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, NJ.
