Harry R. Minnier

Harry R. Minnier, 95, of Southampton, NJ passed away at home on March 2, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Harry is again with his wife Jean A. Minnier, who passed away on January 19, 2024. Loving father of Maryann Minnier and Gordon Minnier and his wife Susan Minnier. Loving grandfather of Jessica Hodson and Chelsea Lippincott, and great-grandfather to Henry Hodson, Rose Hodson, and Tristan Lippincott.

Harry graduated from Merchantville High School in 1946 and then went into the Army. Harry is a Veteran of the Korean War. Upon his return, Harry went to Temple University, graduating with a degree in electrical engineering. Harry was a CAD and print circuit board pioneer at RCA (later GE). Harry worked on the team that created the first portable news camera. This invention earned him and the team an Emmy Award in Broadcasting. After Harry retired from GE, he worked at Science Dynamics in the 90’s as a drafting manager.

Harry’s life-long passion was remote controlled airplanes. Harry built them and flew them with the New Jersey Pine Barons R/C Club. He served as the club’s president and then their secretary until his passing. The club members fondly nicknamed him Electric Harry. Harry will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory and will be held privately.
