Harry C. Armstrong, Jr.

Harry C. Armstrong Jr., age 93, of Cape May, NJ, passed away on Sunday December 18, 2022. Beloved husband of Helen J. Armstrong (nee McGonigle). Loving father of Thomas (Rachele) Armstrong, James (Grace) Armstrong, and Harry (Martha) Armstrong. Proud grandfather of Tommy, the late Bobby, Kaitlyn (nee Brannigan) (Joe), Jessica, Michael, and Kimberly; great-grandfather of Nick, Lydia, and Riley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Harry spent his early life in Philadelphia, PA, before moving to Cape May 42 years ago, and recently moving to Washington Twp., then to Atco, NJ. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1949. He was the owner/operator of Bartram Welding, Philadelphia and Broomall, PA, for 38 years. Harry was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, and walking on the beach.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. Military honors and a memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
