Harjit Singh

Harjit Singh Sikka, 78, of Mullica Hill, NJ passed away on Sunday, May 21st, 2023. He was born in Jhang, West Punjab (now in Pakistan) and is the son of Trilok Singh and Pyarbai. Harjit Singh was a loving and caring member of the Sikh community. He served as the secretary for the Deptford gurdwara and spent his life doing seva for the community. He encouraged those around him to stay connected with Sikhi, learn gurbani and history, and be proud of the Sikh saroop (identity).

He was a hardworking and successful businessman who loved his family dearly. He kept his family laughing and in good spirits with his humor and liveliness, and instilled in them the values of Sikhi. Harjit Singh touched the lives of so many and his legacy will live on through his family and community.

He married Davinder Kaur on March 12, 1970 and was married for 53 years until he passed in 2023. He is survived by his son Kawaljit Singh Sikka and daughter-in-law Kuldeep Kaur Sikka, daughter Jasbir (Mona) Kaur Johar and son-in-law Ashwinder Singh Johar, granddaughters Manpreet Kaur Sikka and Meharpreet Kaur Sikka, grandsons Taranjot Singh Johar and Divjot Singh Johar.

Prayers start at 12pm, Saturday May 27th at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory ,441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. Final prayers and cremation follow at the chapel crematory. Langar and Shri Akhand Paath Sahib bhog will follow at the Sikh Gurdwara Pine Hill, 1110 Blackwood Clementon Rd starting at 3pm.
