Gordhanbhai R. Dalwadi

Gordhanbhai Dalwadi (G. Dalwadi) was born on December 2nd 1930 at Kasor village near Anand, Gujarat. He graduated from Sir J. J. School of Arts in Mumbai with Masters in Arts degree. He started his journey as an Art Teacher in D. N. Highschool Anand in 1955. In 1966 he joined Gujarat government as Drawing Inspector. As a drawing inspector, he worked on increasing awareness towards fine arts by holding seminars, workshops and new educational curriculum. In 1971, he was recognized by Prime-minister of India, Indira Gandhi for his work on representing Gujarat State. He also worked with prestigious institutes like Amul Dairy and NDDB. After settling in USA in 1996, he volunteered for many Hindu Spiritual books for providing his Art work. In spare time, he always kept himself busy by creating various art work at home. He is survived by his wife Shantaben, Six daughters and a son and their families, 13 Grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He left his body peacefully early morning on January 3rd 2021.
