Geraldine Blanco

Geraldine Blanco, a longtime resident of Yonkers, NY, spent her last year of life at The Fountains Assisted Living Facility, in Atco, New Jersey. She passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025. She was 84 years old.

In Yonkers, NY, Geraldine enjoyed cooking, visiting her family and friends and going to the casino. In Atco, she loved being social with the residents and staff there, often attending social events, bingo, horse racing, cooking classes, crafting, playing poker and rummy cube.

Geraldine was born on February 19, 1940, and was raised in Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of Italian immigrant parents, Caterina and Gerard Oliveto. She was the youngest and last surviving daughter of four girls: sisters, Antoinette Gabriele, Giuseppina Ibsen, and Nancy Di Lorenzo. She attended St. Barnabus H.S. for Girls and during that period, she met and later married Ralph Blanco. Their union produced 3 children: Rosemarie Johnson, John Blanco and Ralph Blanco. She is also survived by her daughter in law, Betsy Blanco; her son-in-law, Brian Johnson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Noonan, Catherine Noonan, Jenna Rose and Brianna Blanco; and great-grandchildren, Christian Noonan, Jordan Alexander Rose, Miah Charlize Lewis, Elijah Aiden Rose, Caleb John Rose, Ariya Marie Molina and Ezrah John Molina.

Geraldine was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Ralph Blanco; three sisters and grandson, Johnny Blanco.

A Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm at LeRoy P.
