George W. Stroup, Iv

George W. Stroup IV, age 84 of Atco, NJ, passed away on August 23, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late George W. Stroup III and Leona Stroup (nee Price) in Pleasantville, NJ. George retired from Atlantic City Electric where he worked as a lineman for many years. He then went on to work with his son at Local 351 and then became a driver for NAPA Auto Parts. George loved baseball and played many sports in his younger years. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and fellow church members. George will be deeply missed.

George is predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Stroup; daughter, Cynthia Stroup; and siblings, Charles Stroup and Patricia Vallori.

He is survived by his children, Marybeth Stroup Goldberg and George W. Stroup V, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory and will be private.
