George M. Dale

George M. Dale, age 82, of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on Friday January 28, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Patricia Dale (nee Gerhab). Loving father of George R. (Carol) Dale, Lucinda (Kevin) Garvey, and Christine (Thomas) Masters. Proud Pop-Pop of George Dale, Amanda Burkhardt, Eric Dale, Kevin Garvey, Alexa Cordry, Jordan Masters, and Luke Masters; great-grandfather of Skylar, Ryker, Dakota, Delaney, and Ellie. Dear brother of Tom (Melanie) Dale. George was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a longtime Camden County resident. He worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 98, Philadelphia, PA having a long career for 64 years. He took great pride in his later years working alongside his son and son-in-law. He was married to the love of his life Patricia, for 63 blissful years. After retiring, he spent most of his time helping others. He volunteered with Meal on Wheels and was the president of his condo association for 10 years. George enjoyed his yearly trips hunting with his cousins in Upstate Pennsylvania. He was an avid reader and love his Philly teams (when they were winning!). His family meant the world to him and he loved spending time with them. His grandchildren brought him great joy and he love watching them grow. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 2:30 pm. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to Meals on Wheels.
