George L. Reed, Jr.

George L. Reed passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday, September 16, 2021 surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Winslow, NJ on April 11,1939. He lived much of his life in Atco, NJ and enjoyed spending time in his home in Maui, Hawaii. He was an electrical engineer who worked for Prudential and then A & J Consulting in Clifton, NJ until he retired at the age of 81. George was a veteran who served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed golfing and cheering on the Phillies and the Eagles. George is survived by his wife of 60 years Patricia (Cowan), his son Robert (Loretta), and daughter Louise Ann Montalvo, his sister Elizabeth (Betty) MacDuff, his brother Robert Reed and his Grandchildren Thomas Pitts, Patricia Harris (Scott), Tyler Montalvo, Meghan Tress, and Kyle Montalvo and 1 great grandson Greyson Harris. He also enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Christ the Redeemer Parish Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco, NJ on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Visitation will be at the church from 10 to 11 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM.
