Gary L Morse

Gary L. Morse, age 78yrs. of Atco, NJ passed away on May 14, 2020. Mr. Morse is pre deceased by his devoted wife of 50 years, Teresa and his son Michael Morse. He is survived by his children, Christopher Morse (Linda) of Felton, DE, Gary L. Morse (Jennifer) of Berlin, NJ and Teresa Leavy (Robert) of Atco, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christine, Caleb, Emily, Justin, Jacob, Rachel and his great grandchildren, Bailey and a great grandson on the way. Gary served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was Honorably Discharged as a Sergeant. In April, 1967, Sgt. Morse and four members of his patrol crossed into enemy lines to retrieve five members of a similar patrol. His patrol was pinned down by enemy fire. Sgt. Morse continuously exposed himself to heavy fire while directing his men to safety. As a result, five Americans soldiers were rescued uninjured and three communist agents were killed and two wounded. These actions earned Sgt. Morse the Army Commendation Medal. Services will be held privately. Arrangements by Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, N. J. 08004.
