Gary J. Scully, age 83, of Medford, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Mona Bermingham, his son-in-law, Dave Bermingham, his grandchildren, Luke Scully Traynor, David Bermingham, Brendan Bermingham, and Madison Bermingham as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Gary is pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Sarah Jane Scully (nee Martin), his daughters, Sara and Jeanette Scully, his parents, Vincent and Mary Scully and his siblings, Vincent Scully, and Mary Anne Infante.
Gary was born to Vincent and Mary at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Philadelphia, PA on August 4th, 1940. He served in the United States Navy and proudly worked on the USS Canisteo (AO-99). After the Navy, he worked for 30 years for a printing company, Clement Communications in Concordville, Pennsylvania.
Gary was known for his sense of humor and was famous for his puns, corny jokes, and sharing stories about his time in the Navy and younger years working with his father and brother in the family printing business. Gary was an animal lover, never turning down the pets his kids brought home. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
