Frederick W. Watson

Frederick W. Watson, age 83, of Atco, NJ, passed away on Sunday January 3, 2021. Beloved husband of Joan K. Watson (nee Wilkinson). Loving father of Frederick W. Watson Jr. (April), Sherri L. Buffington (Arthur), and Kenneth C. Watson (Stephanie). Proud grandfather of Jake, Shane, and Sean. Dear brother of the late Robert Watson (the late Adelma) and the late Donald Watson (the late Beatrice). Dear Brother-in-law to Dee Paolin (Jack) and George Wilkinson (Josie). Uncle and Great-Uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. He was also a great friend to many. Fred was born in Camden, NJ and resided in Atco, NJ most of his life. He graduated Lower Camden County Regional High School in 1954 and proudly served in the United States Army from 1960-1962. He went on to work for NJ Bell Telephone (Bell-Atlantic), retiring after 37 years of service. Fred was the vice-president of the Waterford Twp. Historical Society and had been involved with the Tuckerton Seaport. He was a past firefighter with Atco Volunteer Fire Co. and he also served with the Atco Ambulance Co. In his free time, Fred was also an avid boater. A graveside service will be held at Atco Cemetery, Atco, NJ at 11:00 AM on Thursday January 7, 2021.
