Franklin D. Williams

Franklin D. Williams, age 85, of Atco, NJ, formerly of Runnemede, NJ passed away on Monday February 21, 2022. Loving father of David (Eileen) Williams, Brenda (Paul) McDermott, the late Dean Williams, Lisa (John Ebinger) Williams, and Brett (Andra) Williams. Proud pop-pop of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was one of 14 children and is survived by his brother Russell Williams and sister Lorraine Frazier. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Franklin was born in Kentucky, and was a resident of South Jersey for over 70 years. He worked as a truck driver for Dupont and was a member of the Teamsters union for many years. He had won the million milers award for driving over 1 million miles without an accident. Franklin enjoyed telling stories from his time in Kentucky and his days growing up on Bell’s Farm in South Jersey. He loved being Pop-pop to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he would do anything to bring a smile to their faces. Franklin also loved the shore especially the Wildwood Boardwalk. A visitation will be held on Friday March 4, 2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 11:00 am. Cremation will be held privately.
