Frances R. Baskerville

Frances R. Baskerville, affectionately known as Fran, age 88 of Berlin, NJ, passed away on March 20, 2024. She was born in Baltimore, MD and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Fran worked in the Settlement Department for First Pennsylvania Bank in Philadelphia, PA for 25 plus years. In her later years, she devoted her life to caring for children as the neighborhood babysitter. She was an avid bowler and card player and enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, and watching sports. Fran was an excellent cook and was best known for her potato salad, fried chicken, and seafood Friday's. She spent her free time watching soap operas and game shows, as well as doing puzzles from the newspaper. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother to not just her children and grandchildren, but to anyone in need of a loving, motherly presence in their life. Fran was loved deeply and will be missed.

Fran is predeceased by her husband, Louis Baskerville; son, Thomas Mitchell, Jr.; mother, Nannie Elizabeth Stubbs; brother, Surrey Shelton; and her special Aunt Catherine (Suge) Jefferson.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon White (Darryl) and Diana Baskerville (the late Karl); grandchildren, Sharee Shiver (Rahim), Darrell Brown, and Shaina White; great grandchildren, Rahim, Jr, Danyla, Shaniya, and Rhys; and longtime sister-friend Lois Mitchell. Fran will also be missed by a host of cousins, nephews, niece, friends, and those that called her home, home.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A funeral service will begin at 5:00 PM at the funeral home with a repast to follow. Location to be given at a later date. Cremation will be private.
