Ferdinand N. Attanasio

December 31, 1939 — October 16, 2022

Ferdinand N. Attanasio, age 82 of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on October 16, 2022. Fred was predeceased by his father, Albert J. Attanasio, mother, Dorothy M. (Curcio) Attanasio, daughter, Lisa M. Attanasio, brother, Nicholas Attanasio and brother in law, Richard J. Gibson. He is survived by his wife Deborah Attanasio, children, Michael J. Attanasio (Kimberly), Daniel J. Attanasio, Jason M. Gibson (Alyssa), sister, Carol Ann Gibson, grandchildren, Trevor, Braden, Delaney, Brielle, Zachary and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Born and raised in Berlin, NJ, Fred attended Overbrook High School before entering the United States Navy where he was a Radioman until honorably discharged in 1964. Fred owned a bar, and worked in sales for many years; he owned a Painting Company prior to being employed in the gaming industry for 20 years with Tropicana Casino. In more recent years Fred worked in property management and then as a Leasing Agent for Lindy Properties until his retirement in June of this year. Fred’s passions were music, cooking and the sea. He played the saxophone as a teenager and preformed with Billy Keck & the Kicks. His love of the sea not only lead him to join the Navy but to race boats and earn his Captain’s license to charter his boat and enter as many fishing tournaments as possible. In the kitchen Fred was a master homemade pasta and pizza maker, following in his mothers’ footsteps. Above all else Fred was happiest when with his family…and his Eagles!
