Felix Ramsey, 88, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on August 22, 2022, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, New Jersey. He was born December 10, 1933, in Edgefield, SC to Abraham & Queen Ester Andarson.
One of eight children, Felix and his family moved to Philadelphia, PA. He proudly served his country in the Air Force, and once his tour of duty was completed, Felix returned home to marry his sweetheart, Janice Hayesin Philadelphia on January 29, 1957. The couple would go on to have five children in the forty-nine years they spent together.
Felix left active duty and joined the Air Force Reserves until 1961. Already an employee at the Budd Company, he was eventually promoted to Executive Supervisor until he retired in 1989.He pursued various business ventures and his knack for repairing any broken item, no matter how complex, and his desire to create kept him busy throughout the remainder of his life. A lover of Motown music, cars, and chocolate ice cream, Felix kept his pleasures simple.
His wife Janice passed away on October 2, 2006, and his oldest son, Felix Jr. left this world on December 9, 2009.
Felix's strong family values influenced and drew the respect of those who had the joy of being around him. He is survived by three sons (Reynard, Courtney, and Jared), and one daughter (Melanie), two grandsons, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Services will begin Saturday January 14, 2023, 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004.
