Ernst J. Bender

Ernst J. Bender, age 70 of Clayton, NJ, passed away on December 26, 2023. He was born to the late William and Miriam (nee Pennington) Bender in Camden, NJ. Ernst proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1971-1975. In his early years, he could often be found tinkering with cars. Ernst loved camping but most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Ernst is predeceased by his parents, William and Miriam Bender.

He is survived by his siblings, Adele Goodall (Wilson), Elaine Cook (the late Billy), Jeanette Hosier (Mike), and Beverly Tieslau (Christopher), and many loving nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be held privately. Family & friends are invited to attend his military honors at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ, 08562 on Friday, January 5th, 2024 at 10:00 am. Those attending the service must arrive at the cemetery by 9:45 am.
