Ella M. Wells

Ella M. Wells, age 87 of Waterford Works, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Joseph and Eva (nee Mulford) Scheurich in Gloucester City, NJ. Ella enjoyed painting, drawing, gardening, and she loved butterflies. She always had a smile on her face and complimented everyone. Ella had a heart of gold and welcomed everyone with open arms. When their children were growing up, Ella and her husband William had an open-door policy, making their house the gathering spot for their children and their friends. They were considered second parents to many, a label they cherished. Ella will be deeply missed.

Ella is predeceased by her beloved husband, William Wells; parents, Joseph and Eva Scheurich; and siblings, Anna Hamilton, Jenny Flynn, George Scheurich, and Joseph Scheurich.

She is survived by her children, Marilyn Bigwood (Joseph) of Waterford Works, NJ, William Wells, Jr. (Lisa) of Bellmawr, NJ, Michael Wells (the late Roberta) of Bellmawr, NJ, and Kathleen Letzgus (Roger) of National Park, NJ; siblings, Eva Koenig (Fred) and Barbara Elder (the late Robert); brother-in-law, Joseph Flynn; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service on Thursday, August 17th at 11a.m. at Lakeview Memorial Park, located at 1300 RT-130 N., Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
