Edward C. Otto

Edward C. Otto, age 88 yrs., of Medford Lakes, NJ passed away on April 3, 2022 under home hospice care with family at his side. Predeceased by his wife Joan (nee Axelsen) and is survived by his children Richard and his wife Ginny, Carol and her husband Rick Zlinsky, and grandchildren Alexander, Ava and Ella Zlinsky. Edward originally worked in research and as a chemist before having his own business. Edward lived somewhat of an eccentric life. He had many hobbies and interests that spanned from astronomy to cooking and playing instruments like the harmonica. He was a veteran of the Korean War. In his younger day he played professional baseball for the farm team of the St Louis Browns and he also rebuilt engines and drag raced cars. He was an inventor and loved to tinker with anything to figure out how it worked. He encouraged his grandchildren to learn how things work and be self-sufficient. We will miss his scientific, mechanically inclined,unconventional and stubborn personality who could fix anything. Cremation and interment are being held privately at Ed’s request.
