Edith Marie Burger

Edith Marie Burger (nee Tidman), 81, of Millville, NJ passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2024 at Inspira Hospital in Vineland, NJ after battling kidney disease. Edie was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Edie was born on May 31st, in Woodbury, NJ to Frederick and Ruth Tidman and grew up in Berlin, NJ. She was a school bus driver for many years in Vineland, NJ for Sheppard Bus Service and also worked at Metrologic Instruments in Blackwood, NJ.

Edie spent 42 years with the love of her life, David F. Burger, Sr., and will be missed dearly. Edie leaves behind six children, Donna Colclough (James), Wayne Knight (Susan), Robert Knight (Theresa), Kimberly Losasso (James), Dawn Petit (Bobby) and David Burger (Brittany) along with seven grandchildren, Jessica, Adam, Alexis, Sabrina, Evan, Ethan and Aaron. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Ruth Tidman, sister Ruth Ann Dirkin, and son-in-law James Colclough.

Edie loved visiting Lancaster, listening to music, dancing, sewing costumes for her grandchildren, cooking for her family, and watching her shows. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, gentle strength, and kindness.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edie’s viewing on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike in Atco, NJ followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
