Eda L. Whitworth

Eda L. “Edie” Whitworth (nee Corona) age 73 of Glassboro, NJ passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Cooper Hospital Medical Center. Mrs. Whitworth is predeceased by her husband Richard and sister Sandy Sorce. She is survived by her son, Rich Whitworth (Carolyn) of Mickleton, NJ and her grandchildren, Jackson, Luke and Evan; as well as her two beloved nieces Licia Sorce and Sandi Steelhammer (Scott) and great-nephews and great-nieces Jake, Ryan, John, Catherine, and Tori. She is also survived by her best friend and companion, Drew Tomlin. Edie loved her family and friends with her whole heart. She put others above herself and made everyone feel welcome and loved. It was Edie’s maternal and loving nature that drove her success during her 44 years as a devoted teacher in the Voorhees Public School District. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity has touched countless lives and will be deeply missed. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at Christ the Redeemer Parish/Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco, NJ. Interment will follow at the Park View Cemetery at Historic Medford Village, Coates St., Medford, NJ. Donations in Edie’s memory in lieu of flowers can be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.
