Dorothy M. Lieberman

Dorothy Lieberman (nee Penwell), age 75, of Waterford NJ, passed away peacefully on March 8. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 54 years Tom; her daughter Wendy (Al) of Vienna VA; son Chris (Kelley) of Clayton NJ; sister Sharon Schroeder of Garland, TX; brother C.J. Penwell of E. Stroudsburg PA; and her grandchildren Alexandra and Ethan Taylor and Danica, Dilana, Dakota, Delaney, Deluca, and Damon Lieberman.

Dottie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than watching their sporting events, school activities, theatre and art shows, or just sharing snuggles, reading books, and having tea parties. She was without a doubt the world’s best Nana.

She was funny, silly, and infinitely compassionate. She loved to travel with family and friends, and anyone who knew her heard at least one story about family visits in Texas, weekends in New York, or adventures at Disney World.

A memorial service will be held at Berlin Baptist Church, 90 E. Broad Ave, Berlin, on Monday, April 3. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM.
