Doris Ann Folland Daniels-Overbey passed away quietly in her sleep on Saturday April 17, 2021 at the age of 86. Those that knew her loved her. She had a big heart and loved with it wholeheartedly. She was a giver. She was the best greeter and friend to so many. She has been suffering for many years with dementia. She had been living at Medford Care Nursing home for the past 4 years. They took very good care of her. She will truly be missed by friends she made while there and by staff. Mom was always looking out for the underdogs. She would fight for them if and when needed. Mom has been so happy this past year, as she was able to talk to All her children and so happy with every package or phone call that she received. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mom is now resting peacefully. No doubt she has had a heart to heart with God and set him straight as to her roll in heaven. She’d say “God I’m the new welcomer and you don’t have to pay me just let me do what I do best. I’m the new greeter.” She was so sweet and loved beyond words. Although her short memories were fading, her long memories never wavered. My heart is so full of love and great sadness. Because of Covid my last hug with her was a year ago. May you Rest in Peace mom. Enjoy your reunion with your family and friends. We love you so much. She was the daughter of the late Robert Flemming Folland and Barbara Ellen (Kelley) Folland. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Melvin, Robert, Diane, Michael, and Baldy Folland and her sister-in-law Marion Folland. Doris left behind her children: Wallace Bowles, of San Antonio, Texas, Marsha Bowles- Gebhardt in NJ, Ray “Danny” Daniels Jr. (Donna), Richmond, VA, and Tony Daniels (Rita), Richmond, VA. She also leaves to cherish her memory 10 grandchildren, Melanie Fees, Amber Gebhardt, Myke Gebhardt, and Robert Gebhardt, Heather Kovacs, Brittany Griffin, Dylan Daniels, Meghan Burton, Dana Walker, Amanda Love, along with 12 great grandchildren. Cousins, nieces, and nephews. And so many close friends, she loved you all so much. She would want You to celebrate her life. Mom was happiest when surrounded by children and called them all her grandchildren. Please keep us all in your prayers as we navigate these sad times. Funeral services were held privately and entrusted to the care of the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory of Atco. A memorial service will be scheduled by her family for this coming June. At the families request in lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to: Rob and Stacy Gebhardt Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at http://fightcf.cff.org/goto/Miles4Myles
