Donald John Walker, age 85, passed away on the 24th of June, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Nora; son Alec, his wife Kristina and their daughter due in September; daughter Alison, her husband Dustin and their son Idris; and daughter Hilary, her husband Steve and their son Gavin. Don was born and raised in London, England where he was the youngest of five boys. He was an avid supporter of his hometown football team, Tottenham Hotspurs and passed his love of the Spurs down to his children. While in England he served two years in the British Army where he earned the champion title for the British Army Tennis Championship. He also played goalie semi-professionally for several football clubs in London, including Crouch End Vampires FC. When Don finished school, he immediately started an apprenticeship for a photography studio, which would turn into his lifelong passion and career. While working as a photographer in England, he had the privilege to shoot fashion models, ad campaigns, and the occasional celebrity. Some of his favorites were Elizabeth Taylor, Muhamed Ali and the 1960-61 Tottenham Hotspurs who won both the League and the FA Cup, completing "The Double" for the season. COYS! Don met his wife, Nora, in 1973 at a badminton club in London. Shortly after, Nora immigrated to the United States for work and they had to continue their relationship long distance. In 1976, Don moved to the United States and they were married shortly after. Don and Nora built a beautiful life together in New Jersey where they lived with their 3 children. Don was a loving and caring father, and the best life partner to his wife. He was a truly wonderful man, with the deepest, kindest soul. A true English gentleman with the dry sense of humor and wit to match. He was loved by all he met and will be truly missed. The love Don shared in life will continue to live on in all the lives he touched. Friends and relatives are invited to a viewing at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, on Wednesday July 1, 2020 from 6-7pm, with service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Don’s memory to the Micheal J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation. https://tribute.michaeljfox.org/tribute-page.php?id=1545&np=true
