Dolores M. Tait

November 20, 1930 — November 7, 2024

On Thursday, November 7, 2024, heaven gained a beautiful angel. Dolores M. Tait, 93, of Hi-Nella, NJ transitioned peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord surrounded by her children. She was the daughter of the late Bernard H. and Della M. (Moleski) Brown.

Dolores had a passion for collecting antiques, and browsing the thrift stores, especially the Good Will for treasures. She loved listening to music, especially her favorite Tenor Mario Lanza, attending senior dances with her friends, and walking the boards and shell picking in Ocean City, NJ. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends, Donna, Evelyn, and many others. Dolores was a huge fan of the Turner Classic Movie Channel, of which she could have won every trivia contest for her extensive knowledge of the classic movies and the stars of yesteryear. When not enjoying her hobbies and spending time with her family, she was a dedicated volunteer for many years for the St. Vincent de Paul Society at her church, as well as spending many Thanksgiving days over the years helping to feed those less fortunate alongside her late husband Bob.

Her biggest love, besides her family, was decorating her home for every holiday, especially Christmas. She kept Hallmark in business with her passion for their ornaments, even attending their collectors’ conventions! Christmases were celebrated like no others, which included tours of her home and hosting Christmas luncheons for developmentally disabled children. She instilled the traditions of Christmas and the spirit of giving onto her five children. Our Mom, Grandmom, Great-Grandmom, will be deeply missed, and appreciated forever for her stern, yet loving parenting style that helped to mold us all into the people that we are.

Dolores is predeceased by her husband, Robert S. Tait, Grandson, Rob “RJ” Tait, and parents Bernard and Della Brown. She is survived by her five children, Adele Scholtz (Steve), Bob Tait, Keith Tait (Tricia), Kathi Babel (Neil), Karyn Bossert and her son-in Law, Bob Bossert. Ten Grandchildren, Megan, Kristen, Shauna, Michael, Sherry, Courtney, Erica, Jason, Justin and Robert; and 11 great grandchildren, Brycen, Brady, Jack, Madison, Ava, Carter, Declan, Adam, Scott, Brayden, and Julian.

Friends and Relatives are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish/St. Luke’s Church, located at 55 Warwick Rd., Stratford, NJ 08084. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church.
