Diane Julia Ziegenfuss (nee Dzindzio), 79, passed away on October 26, 2024, in Pennsauken, NJ. Born on September 9, 1945, Diane grew up attending Sharp School & Greenville Elementary school, and Central School Junior High, before graduating from Pennsauken High School in 1963. Following high school, Diane briefly worked at Woolworth's and then as a typist at Bell Telephone in Camden, NJ. After marrying, she devoted herself to raising her children, a role she cherished deeply. Later, she returned to the workforce as a pharmacy tech and store manager at Meadowbrook Drug store in Pennsauken, NJ, a position she held until her retirement.
Diane was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy, and she invested her life in nurturing and supporting them. She enjoyed gardening, painting ceramics, and watching her favorite soap operas. Diane and her late husband, Bob, shared a passion for fishing, spending time at the beach, and antiquing, some hobbies that brought them much joy during their retirement years. Their pride & joy however, were their grandchildren, whom they loved fiercely.
She is survived by her three children, Elaine Levitt (Ziegenfuss) & husband Martin, Debra Greenday (Ziegenfuss), and Bobby Ziegenfuss; grandchildren Brandon, Haley, Zack, Luke, and Levi; siblings Mark Dzindzio, Joyce Reese (Dzindzio), Stanley Dzindzio, and Stella Lombard (Dzindzio); in-laws Dennis & Cheryl Ziegenfuss; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert H. Ziegenfuss; her parents, Stanley and Alice Dzindzio (nee Hirth); brothers Michael and Fred Dzindzio; and nephews Frederick and Michael Dzindzio.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for Diane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name, honoring her memory and supporting a cause important to her and her family. Please click here to donate.
