Delores C. Horay

Delores C. Horay age 79 of West Berlin, NJ passed away suddenly at her home on May 17, 2023.

Dee is survived by her loving husband John “Jack” B. Horay, Jr. Dee also is survived by her

beloved children, John B. Horay, III (Christine) of Blackwood, NJ, Dennis R. Horay (April) of New

Gretna, NJ, Peter W. Horay (Valerie) of West Berlin, NJ and Cheryl Lynn Walters (Gregg) of

Hammonton, NJ, and her much-loved grandchildren, who will all sorely miss her, Justin,

Sammuel, Antonia, Mickenzie, Peter “Jake” and Emily and her Great Grandchild, Alice. Dee also

survived her brother Raymond P. Mauger and sister Shirley Schneider.

Delores was born and raised in Berlin Borough, NJ. She met Jack when they were teenagers

and they married on May 23, 1964, They purchased their family home on Blaine Avenue in

Berlin Township where they raised their four children. Dee loved to host family gatherings and

she was known as the go-to person when anyone, family or friends, needed sage advice. After

her family, Dee’s passions were many, including dancing, especially with Jack, shopping with

her granddaughters and anything that involved the water, especially spending time on the

boats that her and her husband Jack owned. She enjoyed nights out with her family and

friends, but the real love of her life was her family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A time to share memories and a family eulogy will begin at 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Dee’s honor be made to St. Judes Children’s

Research Hospital, which held a special place in Dee’s heart as she loved children and always
