Deborah “Debbie” F. McNeil (nee Pagnotti), age 63 and a lifelong resident of Atco, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Debbie is survived by her husband, Steven McNeil, her children, Nathan McNeil (Venessa) of Rogers, AR, and Elizabeth Doyle (Andrew) of Mt. Laurel, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Emma, Owen, Elsie, and Lucas.
Debbie trained her children in the ways of God and sought to be a good example to them and everyone else she came in contact with. Debbie’s heart was always to serve people any way possible. She gave of herself to anyone who needed help, it was just who she was as a gracious gift from God. Debbie would rather give someone something she had instead of keeping it for herself. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. They were so precious to her, and she could not wait to go see them.
Debbie could not get enough of splitting firewood to burn in the wood stove at the first sign of a chill in the air. This was a precious memory of her father because he had taught her this and she had been doing it for over forty years. Debbie could cook, boy could she cook! She would taste something at a restaurant and know what was in it and how to make it, make it better, and make it better for you, which was another major goal of hers. It was hard to go out and eat at a restaurant because it would never measure up to how she could make it at home.
Debbie loved riding on the motorcycle. Steve took her everywhere with him. When people would ask where she had been she would tell them how we took a trip to the gulf coast and road along the shores of the Florida panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana winding up in New Orleans. She would then tell how great the food was in New Orleans, how we camped almost the whole trip and wound up riding 3,400 miles total. Debbie went everywhere and she probably rode 100,000 miles right behind her husband.
