Deborah Ann Lussier

Deborah A. “Debbie” Lussier (nee Scull) on November 30, 2020, of Cherry Hill. Age 65. Beloved wife of 38 years to Larry T. Lussier. Devoted mother of Michael (Jill) and Brian (Aileen). Dear sister of Michael Scull (Theresa). She was predeceased by her brother Joe Scull. She is also survived by her 10 closest friends, known to family and friends as “the yayas”. Debbie attended Camden Catholic High School (’73) and Glassboro State College (’77). She was the first Special Education Teacher at the Y.A.L.E School in Cherry Hill and worked there for 44 years. Debbie volunteered every Wednesday for 4 years at the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden. She also ran the Cherry Hill East Wrestling booster program for 8 years. Debbie enjoyed spending time at the beach with her friends and family, fishing, crafting, taking long walks with her beloved dogs (Tommy and Gus), and decorating for the holidays. Debbie took particular pride in her detailed and meticulous classroom decorations every school year, which changed with each holiday and season. She loved teaching her students and sharing stories from her daily endeavors. During her summer breaks the family took annual vacations to Townsends Inlet, which will be dearly missed. Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Debbie’s memory to be used at the Y.A.L.E School Cherry Hill campus using the go fund me link gf.me/u/zax8r4.
