David Scott El

David El was born David Scott, to the late Anna Green Scott and Leslie Scott, Sr. He passed away December 31, 2022, at the age of 88 years old.

David was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Williamstown, NJ. He joined the

US Army and fought in the Korean conflict. Upon leaving the military, he worked in construction and was a proud member of Labor Local Union 332 of Philadelphia.

In 1959 he met and married Corinne Bey who preceded him in death, and from that union they produced four daughters. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Yvonne S. El. He is survived by one stepson, Raymond Bey of Willingboro, NJ and three daughters, Margaret S. El of Maryland, Maria Jones of Sicklerville NJ, and Anna S. El of Williamstown NJ. He leaves behind five grandchildren, Ashley El, Illyana Jones, Alina El, Malcolm Jones II, and Autumn Madden (Mason), along with five great-grandchildren, Ayden, Azaree, Greyson, Nova, Kyzer, and one on the way.

David also married the late Nina Bundy and leaves behind two stepsons, Jerry Scott and Tyrone Scott.

He is predeceased by siblings William Scott, Joseph Scott, Elizabeth Scott, and Leslie Scott, Jr.

David is survived by his two sisters Ruth Hamm (William) of Fayetteville, NC, Mary Scott of Sicklerville NJ; three brothers, Jessie S. El (Lois) of Williamstown, NJ, Abraham Scott (Jackie) of Gloucester City, NJ, and Richard Scott (Brenda) Sicklerville, NJ; two sisters in law, Patricia Green of Charlotte, NC and Dorothy Handberry of Denmark, SC; brothers in law, Jessie Robinson of Allendale, SC and John Robinson, Jr. (Dorothy) of Martin, SC; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
