David L. Crocker, age 68 of Berlin, NJ passed away on August 1, 2022.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife Diane M. (nee Fenning), his sons, Jeffrey D. Crocker of Atco, NJ and Jonathan R. Crocker (Amanda) of Atco, NJ and his grandchildren, Juliana, Michael and Carson. Dave is also survived by his brother, Stephen Crocker (Carol) of Dublin, Ohio, and his sisters, Elizabeth Crocker of Grand Island, NY and Margaret Dion (Brett) of Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
Dave was born in Upper Darby on August 12, 17953 to Donald and Carol Crocker. He lived in Baltimore for a time and in 1962 he moved to Wayne NJ. After graduating Wayne Valley Senior High School in 1971 he attended William Paterson College then moved to Cherry Hill in 1973 where he continued his education at Rutgers University in Camden graduating in 1976 with a BA in Political Science. While attending college in Rutgers he worked part time at Pep Boys in Cherry Hill. He continued to climb the ranks and eventually became a store manager. He worked at various Pep Boys throughout south Jersey and some in Philadelphia. It was while working in the old CH Pep Boys he met a young lady named Diane Fenning who was in need of some new car tires. After dating for three years the two were married in 1980. That same year they bought their first home in Atco on none other than Sesame St. In 1985 they were blessed with their first son Jeffrey David followed by their second son Jonathan Richard in 1989. They made their house a beautiful home for themselves and the boys where they lived for 41 years. While living in Atco Dave was involved coaching the Waterford Township baseball League. In 2001 coaches were able to get a group of young boys up to compete as the Waterford Warriors in Cooperstown NY. He also coached the Atco Lions Football Teams where he mentored many young boys and met some fabulous coaches who became good friends to each other's families. He especially loved to coach football. He loved to talk about sports and especially his favorite team the Eagles. Dave was a friend to all. After retiring from Pep Boys in 2014, he began to take up golfing. Although he would say he was a lousy player, he enjoyed the camaraderie. He enjoyed meeting up with his friends at local Racks to mingle with everyone. He loved to fish with anyone who was willing to go and any chance he would get. Dave is beloved by his wife, son, grandchildren, siblings, cousins, sisters-in-laws' countless nieces, nephews and countless dear friends and their families. He will be immensely missed by all. Rest in peace my love.
