Dale R Leary

Dale R. Leary, age 74, of Glassboro, NJ, passed away on Friday November 4, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of James J. Leary Jr. Loving mother of Wayne (Melissa) Lehto III and Lori Lehto (Allen Blizzard); stepmother of Patricia (Joseph) Fabrizio, Colleen (late Anthony) Leo, Melissa (James) Vitale, and James A. (Lindsey) Leary. Proud grandmother of Gabby, Ada, Julie, Alina, Scottie, Nicole, Joey, Michael, Anna Marie, Megan, Jimmy, Dominic, Daniel, Mia, and Andrew. Dear sister of Brad, Ken, Amy, and Jill Scott. She is predeceased by her parents J. Kenneth and Laura Scott, and brothers, Joel, Lynn, and Lee Scott.

Dale was born in Point Pleasant, NJ and resided in Williamstown, NJ, before moving to Glassboro about 7 years ago. She was a dedicated nurse for over 50 years, working as a school nurse in Newfield and then Buena Regional High School. She also worked at Inspira Hospital, Vineland for many years. She was a past president of her NJ teachers union in Buena, and she previously served on the Clayton School Board.

Dale’s life was her family, especially her grandchildren. When anyone in her family was sick, Dale was always the one they would call for help. Having grown up in the Jersey Shore area, she loved spending time at the beach.
