Claire Aker

Claire Aker, age 86, of Sicklerville, NJ, passed away on Sunday October 9, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Aker. Loving mother of Deborah (Michael) Thomson, the late Andrew (Cindi – surviving) Aker Jr., John (Mindy) Aker, Theresa (the late Petar) Starkovski, and Cynthia Starkov. Proud grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 4.

Claire was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a longtime resident of Sicklerville, NJ. She worked for the Camden County Board of Social Services for 22 years, retiring as a clerical supervisor. She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Sicklerville, NJ.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday October 18, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eagles Autism Foundation in Claire’s memory.
