Christina is survived by her devoted husband, Kelly, her loving daughter, Laurie, her sister, Marian Zipfel, and her nephew, James Zipfel Jr. She is predeceased by her parents, Christina and Christopher Keller, and her sister, Theresa (Darlene).
Born in Pomona, NJ, Christina graduated from Egg Harbor High School before attending business school for a year. She worked at Prudential in Linwood until marrying Kelly in 1970, after which she became a dedicated full-time homemaker. Christina was a devoted wife and mother who always placed her family first, caring for her parents and sister until their passing.
She grew up working in the fields on her family’s farm, which sparked her lifelong love of animals and fresh produce. Her early years were spent frequenting the Jersey shore with her friends, where she met her future husband, Kelly. Throughout her life, Christina continued to enjoy visiting Ocean City, Atlantic City, and Brigantine.
Christina had a passion for holiday traditions, and she was known for her festive decorations and holiday baking. Family and friends fondly remember her homemade fudge, butter cookies, almond cookies, and fruitcake.
A kind, compassionate, and thoughtful woman, Christina was an advocate for the underdog. She was always concerned for the poor, middle class, and the environment. She actively followed politics and was committed to causes she cared about deeply.
As a mother, she supported her daughter’s hobbies and activities, particularly the high school marching band and their neighborhood 4-H Club. She was always there with encouragement and a helping hand.
She was a faithful member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Parish in Atco, NJ.
Christina brought laughter, joy, and smiles to everyone she encountered.
