Charles A. Blatherwick

May 13, 1944 — June 24, 2024

Charles A. Blatherwick (Chuck), age 80, of Blue Anchor, passed away June 24th at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, N.J. He was predeceased by his parents, June and Charles Blatherwick and his brother, William. Loving husband and best friend of Carol Blatherwick for 54 years. Loving and devoted father to Joy Beth, Lucas (Jessica), Adam (Sandra) and Chad (Melissa).


Loving grandfather to Annika, Mason, Jacob, Sarah, Charlotte, and Chase. Also survived by a large loving extended family and dear friends including his faithful brother-in-law, Joe and best friend, Rocky for over 50 years.


Chuck was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, Phillies and Eagles fan. Also known for his great wood carvings for many years. Chuck was a national award winning and beloved science teacher at Edgewood Regional High School, Moorestown Friends School, and after retirement substituted at Hammonton High School.


Chuck did his undergraduate degree work at Monmouth College in Illinois, his master’s at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and his graduate work at Rutgers University in New Brunswick.


Chuck has had a full and loving family life and a wonderful career teaching for many years. Now he is enjoying a heavenly reunion with friends, family and our Lord and Savior Jesus.


A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Union Methodist Church at 131 E Central Ave., Blue Anchor, NJ, 08037 or Encounter Christian Fellowship at P.O Box 385, Clementon, N.J, 08021. Arrangements are under the care of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory in Atco, N.J.
