Catherine Louise Nelson

Catherine L. Nelson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Horace J. Nelson, Sr., her children, William Nelson (Anne) and Horace J. Nelson, Jr. (Renee), her niece who was more like a daughter to her, Jennifer Deering (Robert), her grandchildren, Nicholas, Paige, Horace J. III, Jarrod, Caine, Joseph, Lauren, Kevin and Caroline, as well as her great-grandson, Chad, Jr. and great nephew, Chase. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Teresa, and her sister, Patricia (Edwin).

Catherine was talented in the kitchen and took great pride in her cooking, baking, canning and jelly making. Family and friends will miss her delicious creations, which were always made with love and care. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren, always cherishing each moment with them. Catherine was a Disney devotee and enjoyed many trips visiting the most magical place on earth with her family.

Her love and presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Cremation and inurnment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Catherine’s memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral arrangements are under the care of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, Atco, NJ.
