Carmen P. Maccarella

Carmen P. Maccarella, age 82, of Waterford, NJ, passed away on Saturday February 6, 2021. Predeceased by his parents Carmen and Grace Maccarella. Beloved husband of Florence “Flo” (nee Caromano). Loving father of Gregory (Donna) Maccarella and Joseph (Lisa) Maccarella. Proud grandfather of Gregory, Domenic, Katie, and Nicholas; great-grandfather of Sophia Grace. Dear brother of Anthony, Gloria, Sandra, and the late Robert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Carmen was born and raised and resided his entire life in Waterford, NJ. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He ran M & M Home Improvements with his father and sons for many years. He was a member of the Weekstown Hunt and Fish Club for 60 years. Carmen coached youth baseball and football and enjoyed going to the horse racetrack, making homemade wine, and spending time with his grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday February 18, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:30 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 pm on Thursday at Christ the Redeemer Parish/Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco, NJ. Interment will follow mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Cedar Brook, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Semper Fi Fund, https://semperfifund.org/donate/.
